What we keep
If you previously joined the waitlist, we keep your email address. If you sign up or join through an invitation, we keep your email, optional name, Cortex membership, knowledge and original attachments you save, and records of changes and connected apps. We also keep basic usage and security records needed to run and protect the service.
How we use it
We use your information to run Cortex, let your team and authorized AI tools use its knowledge, send sign-in and invitation emails, reply to support requests, and protect the service. We may use emails from the former waitlist to contact people about Cortex access. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who handles it
Cloudflare hosts the service, stores account and knowledge data, and handles service email. When you use an AI feature, relevant knowledge and your request can be sent to OpenAI to produce a response. If you connect another AI client, that client can receive the information you authorize it to read. Team members see knowledge according to their Cortex roles. These services may process data outside the UAE.
How long we keep it
We retain emails from the former waitlist for access follow-up unless you ask us to remove yours. Knowledge and attachments stay while their Brain is active. Replacing a file retains earlier versions in the Brain's history. Deleting a Brain removes its active knowledge storage. We keep account, change, and deletion records for the life of the service so we can prevent misuse, investigate problems, and avoid accidentally recreating deleted Brains. Service providers may keep operational copies under their own retention rules.
Your choices
You can download your knowledge as readable Markdown through the available Git access, and download individual retained attachments with your current access. You can change your optional name and disconnect AI apps in Cortex. Email us to ask for a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal information, or to leave the waitlist. We will explain if a record must be kept for security or another legal reason.
